Jason Weeks
Laboratory Director

Jason is the Laboratory Director of Marinco Bioassay Laboratory, Inc. Before founding MBL in 1988, he worked at the renowned Mote Marine Laboratory as the supervisor of the invertebrate aquaculture laboratory and aquatic toxicity testing program. Through years of study and the supervision of tens of thousands of toxicity tests, he has become a true expert in the field and an effective intermediary, conjoining the goals of permittees and regulators. Jason is a member of the Society of Environmental Toxicology And Chemistry and the Water Environment Federation.

Dubravka (Debbie) Mihajlovic
Laboratory Technical Director

Debbie is an international scientist educated at Djuro Pucar Stari University in Bosnia. As the Laboratory Technical Director, she is responsible for all testing operations and oversees the technicians and analysts performing the tests. Debbie is also the company Ethics Officer and is responsible for ethics training of all employees. Her qualifications include six years of experience in quality control and 21 years of aquatic toxicity testing. Debbie is multilingual, speaking German, Bosnian, English, and Russian.

Marlena Beck
QA/QC Officer

Marlena has been the QA/QC officer for six years and has ten years of experience in performing toxicity tests. She is knowledgeable in the quality system as defined in NELAC, and her routine responsibilities include conducting audits, maintaining a current demonstration of capability for every test method, and performing statistical analysis. Marlena received her B.S. in Marine Science from Eckerd College and is fluent in English and Spanish.
