Laboratory Technicians will work directly under the supervision of the Laboratory Manager. The employee responsibilities will include assisting in the performance of aquatic toxicity testing of treated domestic wastewater, stormwater, and industrial effluents, and culturing freshwater and saltwater vertebrates and invertebrates. Extensive training will be provided and required for each responsibility.
Examples of specific tasks: counting organisms, daily physical and chemical measurements (dissolved oxygen, pH, conductivity, salinity, temperature) using laboratory instrumentation, handling water samples, washing glassware, extensive documentation, and many others.
The position requires working 40 hours per week.

We are looking for individuals with exceptional performance skills, such as: self-motivation, attention to detail, honesty, dependability, adaptability, and physical stamina. In addition, the position requires college level biology and chemistry.
